UPA is also National Grid’s installation vendor in Massachusetts and its primary installation contractor in upstate New York. Across all installers, the Massachusetts program passed 500,000 meters in April 2026 and the New York program reached 1.64 million meters and gas modules by April 30, 2026. Utility services
UPA installs and services electric, gas and water meters and offers meter repair and reading, overhead and underground line construction, private utility locating, lighting, EV charger installation, call-center and material-management services for investor-owned, municipal and cooperative utilities.
The track record lists each utility program, UPA’s role and whose count each number is. The LG&E and KU deployment was complete by December 31, 2025, according to the Kentucky PSC.
We work across the United States; the service area page lists the states where public records show our programs. We offer private utility locating and checks of existing marks, but we don’t do 811 locate-and-mark work.
About the name
On this site, UPA means Utility Partners of America, LLC, the utility field-services contractor based in Greer, South Carolina. We aren’t affiliated with United Power Association, Utility Partners, LLC (the water and wastewater operations business now part of H2O Innovation) or Utility Service Partners.
The operating company is the Delaware LLC. Our headquarters is in Greer; Pittsburgh is the headquarters of our parent company, System One.
