Replacing smart meters at the end of their life
SMUD names UPA as a contractor on its meter change-out project. Its board records describe the work: installation, scheduling, hiring and training, vehicles, handheld equipment and handling retired meters.
Two numbers, two sources
The 191,000 figure is UPA’s own count. SMUD’s tracker reports the whole program on a stated date, so its total isn’t UPA’s alone, and neither number is a unit price.
