Edmond’s city council records credit UPA with more than 37,000 electric and 25,000 water meter installations under the Smart Choice program, finished in October 2023.
Electric and water meters for Edmond
The council packet separates the work UPA finished from the meters and registers the city later assigned to its own staff after supply delays.
The 62,000 total adds the city’s electric and water figures together, so it is a minimum. See meter installation services.
Where things stand
City staff installed the remaining meters and registers, which were delayed by supply shortages.
